'..Looking Closer..' was created in November 2024.
I cant actually remember how this creature first came about. All i know is that i wanted to express the detail i see in my day and how much joy it brings me. I am autistic, so seeing things in detail first is the way my brain works. Every aspect of my life is 'detail first'. Although this can cause issues for me in life, i would never change it. I see do much that others don't, which makes me feel much more connected to the natural world. I almost feel when im looking at an insect and all its detail, like i'm down there with it.
I hope through this drawing, other people take more time to look at the small details of their surroundings.
